Radiant, slim and fragile like an eggshell
This is a very charming looking watch, with a surprisingly thin case (only 5mm!), but I only got to enjoy wearing it for a few months before the precious stone spontaneously cracked in my dresser drawer one night. When my wife took the watch to a be prepared repair shop, they quoted $55 to replace the broken crystal. That's five less than the sale price of the contemplate - no thanks. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted, but I won't buy another one to replace the first - twenty bucks a month is a bit high for a watch rental.

After a hiatus of many years, Braun watches and clocks are back in making in 2011 Braun's decision to re-issue their collection, including some of the rare LCD watches from the 1970's, gained sanction from Dietrich Lubs, co-designer with Dieter Rams. Lubs credits their independent and functionally-oriented structure for the continued relevance of the Braun timepiece collections, some thirty years after their introduction. Eventually, there will be opus for the complete line of Braun watches and clocks, as well as new, exciting and innovative Braun products.
The reappearance of Braun's entire wristwatch is a testament to the genius of the designers, and it hints at the numbers of loyal Dieter Rams adn Dietrich Lubs fans around the overjoyed.

Excluding Watch
This awake to is a reissue of a Braun watch from the 70s. I'm not sure if they updated it a bit or went for a strait reissue. The designer, Dieter Rams, was idolized by Steve Jobs, and you'll find that many of his plan conventions are integrated in Apple products. Even this watch, with its thick sides and minimal color technique looks like it was made by the same person who designed the iphone 4/4s.As far as the watch goes, it is exceedingly easy to tell the time. I'm one of those people who still might occasionally struggle with non-digital clock/be on the watch, but not with this one. I've received enough compliments on the timepiece to assume it makes an impression. My only complaint is that I can't find an ideal wristband evaluate... it is either way too tight, or loose enough that the watch face will slide toward the side of my wrist.One last note, the seller was exceptionally attentive in helping track down the shipment when the shipping company had a problem. Great consumer...
