I purchased this observation just a few days ago. Reason? Larger analog G-Shock, Multiband, and Solar with talented look and features. I've been waiting for this type of design from G-Shock for a long time. Tender thanks you.The watch is very light and G-Shock durable. It definitely has the look of a precise aviation thingumabob. Just like any precise and quality instrument it takes a little bit of time to learn to drive it and get used to the functions. I personally like that the watch does not have any LED backlight. There is no need for it. I must conflict with the previous review. The luminous hands are visible throughout the night. Not as bright as for example Luminox watches, but radiant enough to see what time it is.The stopwatch function is plenty sufficient. If you need a stopwatch up to 24 hours, then you will indubitably get a different watch for a lot more $$$ and probably not as durable.The worldtime function works marvy....can't complain. I personally don't have much use...

The full number of G-Shock 'tough' well dressed behind an analog dial
I'm a jumbo fan of G-Shock products and the look & design of this watch made it an irresistible addition to my collection. Since the box is entirely comprised of resin & the steel buttons along with the mineral crystal lens are all well recessed within the guard against, I don't worry about anything denting or scratching anything off of this watch. There is good attention to detail & build quality from what I have observed. The orange colored features against the clouded face of this watch make it very readable in daylight. As far as the band, I find resin bands to be more serene, durable and less susceptible to failure since there are no parts to bend or wear out. I really enjoy the look & all-embracing character of this watch. Some might consider it to be 'oversized' but it doesn't seem to be huge on my wrist.Atomic timekeeping & solar power (or interchangeable) have become basic requirements for all of my timepiece purchases. But watch for the money. I bought mine through Amazon about six months ago and am very satisfied by this watch. I think I paid $54 for it then and the shipping was very spirited. This is my first automatic and I love the fact that I never have to replace a battery. It has a simple elegance that reminds me of WWII British and American fight watches. It runs a little fast (probable gains a minute a week) but this is not a big issue.

This sentinel comes in 4 models, with a beige strap and dial, SNK 805 with a green strap and dial, SNK 807 with a indecent strap and dial, and SNK 809 with a black strap and dial. What I like most is the red tip on the seconds pass that sweeps continuously across the dial and not in steps for every second like in most analog watches. Also cool is the untraditional numbering of the hour markings, where the 5-minutes are more protruding than the hours. The strap looks beat in the photos than in reality, but it's still very nice and tough-looking, although it is narrower than you think when you see it on the guy's arm in the pictures above. This look over was originally written for the SNK803K2. The only difference is the color of the dial. But I bought this on too.For me this watch is nightmarish. If you know auto-winds (automatics), then you know their little idiosyncrasies. So let's start there...Timing:It's not a chronometer, it does proceeds (or lose) more than 0.5 seconds/day. In fact, on some days it seems to gain as much as a minute. Gaining space seems to be a common observation with other owners and reviewers. My guess is that it is "set fast" at the factory, with the idea that "if we can't get it polish out of the box, then it's better to be early than be late." For this, you could probably go down to your local watch repair and get the timing set. Having said that, My take in normally runs about a minute fast over the course of a month and that doesn't bother me. In particulars, true to all automatics, it gains and loses a little time each day or so and it is generally the same "one...
