Almost to wonderful to eclipse in your pockey
I admire this pocket watch. I had been looking for several months at local stores and never could find exactly what I was look for. Found this on full ole amazon and decided to give it a go. I havnt looked back yet. I am always complimented on what a beautiful piece it is. As long as i commemorate to wind it in the mornings it keeps time wonderfully. The only real downside is that if you want to put a envision in it you have to look at the back of the picture paper as well. Wish it had come with a silver cover to accent the stunner of the watch. However, beyond that one downside its perfect.

Cool for the money
This is my first steal watch. After extensive review I decided on this one (I love the two-tone). The watch has a solid caress to it. It looks nice and gets plenty of compliments. Mechanically the watch is sound. For mechanicals/rate you cannot beat the movement on this watch. The old railroad watches were required to keep time within 30 seconds per week; this does not match that standard, never-the-less, it does keep good time; on the order of 5 to 8 seconds per day. If you think that is bad, please note that that equates to a 99.98% preciseness (rounded to the hundredths). I am a stickler on watch accuracy, but owning a mechanical that keeps measure to within +/- 1 minute PER WEEK has a sense of pride to it that a typical quartz cannot produce.I very recommend this watch to anyone with a pallet for both character, and personal nostalgia.

Very critical Watch
This is a well made, Fun observe. It's accurate and somewhat easy to read. It's my eyes' , Not the watch's problem.Only handicap is that you have to wind it daily. But it is a Mechanical see-thru, that's why you are buying it , right?Well priced for it's enjoyment value. Vast deal, super fast shipping!
Inspired by "Alice in Wonderland," my daughter wanted a pit watch for her 10th birthday. This one was perfect: The more feminine scroll around the outer edge and the ability for her to add a photo of her acceptance combined with the relatively durable quality at an inexpensive price was spot on. I purchased the Dremel steel engraving tool on Amazon and engraved the case myself. It came out beautifully. The wooden box the watch comes in is above-board but nice, about 5.5"x2"x4", and can also be engraved. The photos don't show it but the watch also comes with a removable bind. Overall, we're very happy with the purchase!

The fulfilled gift...
My mute and I were looking for the perfect gift for my father-in-law this past Christmas. He was quite heartbroken after losing his woman of 60 years so putting a smile on his face had been next to impossible. When he opened this gift he not only found a excellently crafted pocket watch but a beautiful picture of his wife. Fine but basic watch
I got this anticipate as a replacement for a misplaced watch given to me by my sons. It is a very nice looking watch and the redden scheme, with semi-luminescent dots, is quite striking and elegant. As mentioned by another reviewer, the hook needs to be carefully pressed before closing as it does not close easily. I have found the knob (which has three positions -- two for home, one for running) a bit difficult to place in the right position. My primary complaint, which lowers it from five stars to four stars, is that the three trifling sub-dials are basically unreadable unless one has VERY good closeup vision. I just reject them and enjoy the rest of the watch.

I precisely received this watch, so I cannot comment on durability. I will say it is a very nice looking watch; very stylish. I like that it is a quartz purpose; accuracy without daily winding. We'll see how it holds up.As one reviewer noted, the subdials are very small, so either callow eyes or older with progressive lenses (in my case), would work best. The luminescent hands and aid hand make visibility in the dark possible. It is a relatively small pocket note, so it will not take up much room. I will be purchasing a case for mine even though it has a cover, for those times I wear pants that don't have the fifth take.One other note about something else another reviewer said. You need to press the crown in when you close the cover; this may take a barely getting used to. However, if you snap the cover closed, you will eventually ruin the latch termination on the cover. The instructions actually tell you that. Hope that helps anyone who might be looking at...

I like what I upon the "correct" orientation of the dial for a hunter case pocket watch - where the stem is at 3:00, not 12:00. It's unstudied to pop the case by holding it by the stem on the right side (for right handed people), which orients the pageant the way you see it in the picture. Some others put 12:00 at the stem, which leads to having to open the case, then rotate it, or let it let out so it's hanging by the stem to view the time correctly, and that doesn't feel natural to do, or to nigh unto again. Also, since the display doesn't have numbers on it, it's nice to have the oversize triangle for the marker at 12:00, so it's visually uncomplicated to tell the time if it's not perfecly centered.The display has a nice contrast of light hands vs. a ignorant face, so even in lower light it's easy to read.
