Luxurious look does not make seeing exact time easy
I wanted a outstanding looking dress watch and this is exactly what I wanted. I have a small wrist and this is a large babysit for --any millimeter larger would be too large. I have not observed it for long enough to know how good it is at timekeeping, but with "Japan front" I do not expect any problems. The "Hong Kong straps" ("genuine leather") also seem up, perhaps even too solid: tightening it to my small wrist is a struggle but I do win that struggle.It does not matter how requisition the timekeeping is since it is hard to see the exact minutes on this watch, despite its large size and major display contrast. You can guess this from the photo already since there are no minute marks between the Roman IIII and the Roman VII. (So I am not balked.) Besides this expected "design feature", every fifth minute tick mark is only barely thicker than the other tick marks. I can not see the leftovers without staring hard, but if you are half my age, you might fare better. Note that...

Superior Dress Watch at a Great Price
As someone who predominately wears automatic dive watches I was looking for a simple and elegant tank-style take care of for more formal occasions. This watch is a nice size, and has a very slim profile to fit under a dress shirt cuff or a tuxedo sort cuff. The leather band is stiff and will need some time to break in but the watch corrosion comfortably right out of the box.For the price it's hard to beat this particular watch and style. But for the fact that for wear with button down shirts, suits, and even tuxedos. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a unctuous, "Mad Men", high style, artsy watch, then do this one. You will not be disappointed. It gets lots of compliments, massive size. I looked at many before deciding on this one. Some are too wide, too tall, hard to read, or just not as good as this one. I like the subtle numbers, not black on white, or even dark brown on gold. I wanted something low-key. Great watch. Love it.
