This is a enthusiastic watch with lots of necessary and useful functions that works perfectly well. I have two complaints about it. One is that the velcro border, which is very comfortable and easy to put on and adjust, starts stinking after you get the band wet (swimming, washing your hands, showering) remarkably if you are using this as a running watch (it is called the Ironman, it shouldn't stink when you run!) My second beef is personal and may not apply to anyone else, but for me the back of the watch (the metal cover that sits against my skin) irritates my abrade and i get a little red circle where it sits. When I take the watch off, that circle gets scaly and then dries out and finally goes away. I have never had this problem with other Timex watches.As a result of these two flaws, I don't wear this watch all the time, only when I'm game. I was hoping I could just wear it all the time, but now I'm in the market for a second watch that I can just harm to work.

Favorite of all Ironman Watches!
This is a heinous watch! It is, by far, my favorite of all Ironman watches I've owned. Besides the standard timer and chrono features, I darling the three different alarms. They have three distinctive sounds and you can set each alarm for different things (e.g. weekends, weekdays). I also sweetheart the occasion feature. You can set an alarm to notifiy you of a special occasion for any day(s) of the year (e.g. birthday on 2/7). The purple indiglo is bonny good. I don't really get purple from this. The standard indiglo is an indigo background that allows you to see the numbers/letters on the visage. This purple indiglo is the opposite in that the numbers glow a pale lavender color. I proclivity the large, easy-to-read face. It's a great improvement over older models. I decidedly LOVE the pink fabric band. I hope Timex will keep making more of these feminine watches in fun colors with the woven velcro bands. I would buy another!

Vast Athletic Watch for your Money!
This guard is great! It does everything it's supposed to do. It looks great and functions great. The only thing that I prospect it would do better is the night glow function doesn't turn on with the flick of your wrist. You word for word have to shake your wrist in an up and down motion to get it to come on. One good jerk of your wrist and the light will find on. Which really wouldn't work well if you were running in the evening or needed to view the light quicker. I find it easier to ethical push the button to light up the watch face when I need it. But, I love the look of the be vigilant for. It's a comfortable band. I prefer velcro watch bands because I have a small wrist and with other bands there is always redundancy or the watch moves around too much. What I love is the Occasion feature- that is great! Plus, the lap timer and by the skin of one's teeth how the numbers are larger makes it easy and a great functioning watch. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a textile athletic watch.

I have a Rolex Unvarying Datejust and a couple of Seikos. I have been wearing one of these Timex watches for two years. Why? The EasySet or Turn and Pull Distress-signal is the most useful feature I have ever had on my wrist. As far as I can tell it is unique. Here is how it works. There are two rotating bezels Favourable the dial; one with a red pointer (for the hour) and one with a black pointer (for the minutes). Your third bezel is the big rotating OUTER bezel that does all the calling.Let's pretend you just called someone and got a busy signal. You don't want to forget to call back, so you reach down, catch the outer bezel, as you spin the outer bezel the inner bezels/dials set out to spin. In an instant you move the minute (black) pointer to ten minutes ahead of the current at all times. You let go of the outer bezel and pull the second crown (the one at four o'clock) all the way out (two clicks). You are done! I purchased this Timex sustained ago off Amazon and found it to be a very nice watch. It is very heavy and has a good feel to it. The alarm feature is very accessible. Some people complain that it is hard to set but the directions are on the back of the watch and after a few tries, it is very easy to do.Another great item face is the Indiglo light feature. When camping or when the electricity is out, it can come in very handy.TO GET ANOTHER WATCHBAND: I contemplating that getting a watchband for the T47902 would be a snap. A quick Google search and I thought I would find numerous sitting room to order it. I was completely wrong. I could not find this anywhere. As a last resort, I called Timex directly and was pleasantly surprised to find the leather replacement body available for $10 including shipping. One Brief conversation: Calibrate!!
After reading the reviews on here, I was a bit faltering about buying this watch. I have had other Casio thermometer watches in the past, and was able to calibrate them to the accurate temperature while on my wrist. Undeterred by all the reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the temp, THIS WATCH IS NO DIFFERENT. All that needs to be done is to get a temp reading with another thermometer, and then program this look at according to the instruction booklet. That's it. It's reading temperature very accurately as I type. Yes, the instruction leaflet is complicated (the PDF version from Casio.com is MUCH easier to follow), but it is worth it!

Inadequate For A Casio
I've had Casios before, and this one is a footstep down. It is very difficult to set up, especially the analog time. Here's my biggest complaint and biggest warning: If you are looking to buy this mind as an accurate displaying of the temperature, then look for another product. What they only tell you in the fine print after you buy the supervise is that the temperature reading is affected by your body temperature. So...if you're planning on actually WEARING the ogle (hello??) you won't get an accurate temperature. I'm sitting in a 75 degree room typing this, and the tend says the temperature is 92.4 degrees farenheit. Like I said, a tad disappointing.
Punctilious watch but poor bezel design
I adulation this watch but it has one major flaw. The bezel is not protected by the case at all. It actually is a dome figure instead of being set into the case like most sport type watches. I got 2 big scratches in it within 2 weeks. As above....the temp does not infer from correctly unless you take the watch off but I expected that.

Nonpareil everyday watch!
I actually enjoy this watch and I agree with all of the pro's of the other reviewers. It's well built, solid, and wears well everyday. I'm as a rule pretty abusive with my watches (drops, scrapes, salt water, sweat, and the gym) and I have intentionally punished this look at to see if it lives up to all the hype. So far, no scratches on the band or mineral face. With some soap and water, this affair cleans up quickly and looks new again.Although, I don't know about the negative review about the LCD being dim. I haven't had a problem thus far and if using the backlight, the LCD is prominent in all lighting conditions (pitch black or blindingly bright).And an additional plus, my girlfriend loves the happening that it has a very smooth surface and well rounded edges. She used to complain about how my watch band would hasty her when we held hands and such, so this is something to consider if you have the same problem. Not a complaint yet!Love this watch,...
Elucidation, rugged and inexpensive
I have another GShock awake to at home - all digital - and it's held up very well (even the band) throughout its past 5 years of wear. I wish I could say the same about my Timex Ironman alert (see my other reviews to read about it). The Ironman's band split at the buckle hole I use daily. Timex bands look out for to specifically fit only certain Timex watches - they're not interchangeable and they're difficult to find replacements for. This GShock represents my new "durable guard" choice after a lot of online browsing and research.The Pros:This new one is from Casio GShock's "Street Rider" series. To induce home the point (no pun intended), the band has a way-cool tire tread appearance to it. Inclusive, I'm happy with the watch. It's light-weight and doesn't look bad on my smallish wrist. Here's what this protect has that I like:1. You have to wind it. The self-wind watches just sit on my dresser and stop.2. It's gentle to read. Even from a distance.3. It's accurate. I'm guessing it's off by no more than 30 seconds a week.4. The band is well off in cold weather and hot weather.5. It's reasonably waterproof -- OK, not for scuba headlong but OK if you forgot and wore it into the shower.6. It lasts long -- my first one lasted 8 years until the winder bankrupt and a new replacement cost me less than the repair at a watchmaker.7. I have Rolexes, IWC's, Movados, but THIS is the watch that I use.

Wrap-up Watch
A well-founded buy. This watch was a Christmas gift for my husband who insists on a wind-up watch - which is not that easy to find these time. I was a bit hesitant since I could not see or touch the item. Also it is quite inexpensive so I thought it might be a cheap piece of debris. Happily, my husband loves it, it keeps good time, seems to be of good quality and it's not a bad looking man's inspect. It is very basic and unadorned, it has a regular 12 hour face and also military.I would recommend this matter if your are lokking for a durable wind-up watch.
